NMIT and MAF Timber Demonstration Building Competition - Winning entry

Irving Smith Jack Architects have won a national competition run by NMIT in conjunction with MAF for the design of a three storey building for the Arts and Media Faculty using wood as the key structural component instead of concrete and steel.
Andrew Irving says "We are thrilled to win such a prestigious national award against strong competition. Coming up with this innovative concept has been very exciting. Hopefully it will be the first of a new generation of creative, sustainable, wood structured, multi-storey buildings"
